Absolutely spectacular experience! My dad and I were on a road trip and our usual place we stay had suffered a lightning strike and was without power and wouldn't let us stay there. After about 3 or 4 hours of driving around looking for a place to stay, we had decide that camping was our only chance to get some rest. Then we stumbled onto a sign for Pleasentview Lodge and decided to give one last try for a place to lay down. We called, spoke with the owner who said that they had spaces available, so we sped over and too our surprise and delight, we found ourselves siting on a tiny piece of heaven! Great and friendly people, stunning accommodations, reasonably priced, and all situated on a a very quiet and calm lake. It was absolutely perfect and we still can't believe our luck. I highly recommend booking and staying at Pleasantview Lodge. You absolutely won't regret it!
We just had the best labour day long weekend at Pleasantview lodge! Two adults and three kids (ages 16/12/10) Cabin #4 fit us perfectly and had everything we needed - this lodge and location are a true piece of heaven on earth! Colin and Julia really made it a special time - the kids were sad to leave after spending all day either in the water (there are lots of kayaks & supplies to use); on the docks or fishing. The water was crystal clear and on Sunday a family of loons serenaded us from about 40 feet out from shore! This was a much needed get away from every day stress and rushing around. A true Canadian lake experience at its best!
My sisters and I and our families have been returning to Pleasantview Lodge for the past 15 years. The location is idyllic, located on a quiet bay on Brule Lake. The hosts are very attentive and accommodating and have made many pleasurable vacation for our multigenerational families!
Was here for Father's Day weekend with three of my buddies and our sons and had a great time. Colin and Julia were fantastic hosts and can't say enough about he accommodations! The lake is spectacular! Great views, deep clear water and excellent fishing! Will definitely be back!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Colin and Julia provided a warm, hospitable atmosphere and left nothing for us to need. Wonderful destination! Just spend a wonderful weekend with family and friends. Cottages are meticulously clean and comfortable. The lodge has something for everyone! Owners are just fantastic! Will be returning!
Pleasantview Lodge is located on the unique, clean, clear, deep and unspoiled Brule Lake which is defined as a partially sensitive trout lake. The view from the lodge is amazing, looking north up the lake with the beautiful shoreline cliffs in sight. The new owners are Colin and Julia and their enthusiasm and hospitality is wonderful. The lodge has multiple private cabins and an antique log home. All are beautifully finished and well equipped. You will not regret staying at Pleasantview and you will definitely fall in love with Brule Lake and b.t.w., the fishing is just great with mainly trout and bass being caught at Brule.
Excellent experience every time we visit. Colin and Julia are the best hosts and the lake is absolutely gorgeous - a kayaker’s delight. The sunsets are beautiful and you won’t believe how many stars you can see at night. A little slice of paradise for an extremely reasonable price. My favourite week of the summer.
